Where to fix my old stead?

I have a vintage roadie that I wanted to restore for a while now. The bike means a lot to me because it is after all the first and the only one vintage bike that I got. I went all the way to Bedok just to get the bike and cycle it all the way back to Yishun. Haha. The first ride is the first adventure on the bike I guess.

I need to replace the 27" rims, crankset and gear. I went to Cheap John enterprise but he do not have the 27" rims and I have to say there is a lot of delay trying to fix my bike there.

So I really hope to find a store or anyone that can probably find the 27" rims that I am looking high and low for. I have a rare set of arabesque golden arrow shimano crank and a uniglide shimano 5 speeds that I really want to replace on my old stead.

I know restoring bike is never a easy task and it takes a lot of time, commitment, resources and determination but my perseverance can only bring me that far. I will push on nonetheless!

If anyone do have any advices or bike shop recommendation or even DIY classes, I am most delighted to hear it!

To other new vintage riders, strive on and persevere! And to the "old and experienced", you have my respect.

Ride safe and ride the wind~

Why not post the bike here and see what's needed.
